Electrostatic Field Analysis of 1200 Kv Testing Transformer by Boundary Element Method

چکیده
Design of a 1200 kV power transformer is a real challenge for designer from dielectric point of view. It is possible to design a more compact transformer meeting even higher insulation levels with lesser insulation content. This has been possible with the introduction of sophisticated Computer-Aided Electrostatic Field Analysis. Analysis of the Lead Exit assembly of 1200 kV HV is presented. Two-dimensional contours of the three-dimensional equipotential and equigradient contours are presented in selected vertical planes. The paper gives an insight into various high stress areas of a 1200 kV Lead assembly and measures taken to improve the stresses.

This paper takes a typical 220 kV three-phase three-limb oil-immersed transformer as an example, this paper building transient field-circuit coupled model and 3D coupled magneto -fluid-thermal model. Considering a nonlinear B–H curve, the magneto model uses the field-circuit coupled finite element method (FEM) to calculate the magnetic flux distribution of the core and the current distribution ...
متن کاملElectrostatic analysis of the charged surface in a solution via the finite element method: The Poisson-Boltzmann theory
Electrostatic potential as well as the local volume charge density are computed for a macromolecule by solving the Poisson-Boltzmann equation (PBE) using the finite element method (FEM). As a verification, our numerical results for a one dimensional PBE, which corresponds to an infinite-length macromolecule, are compared with the existing analytical solution and good agreement is found. As a ma...
متن کاملPower Auto-transformer Mechanical Faults Diagnosis Using Finite Element based FRA
Frequency response analysis (FRA) is a sensitive method established for testing the mechanical integrity of transformers. However, interpretation of FRA signature still needs expert opinions and there is no FRA interpretation code generally accepted. Various mechanical faults with different extents on power transformers are required to aid FRA interpretation. To address this challenge, in...
متن کامل3D Finite Element and Mixed Finite-Boundary Element Method for the Magnetic Field Analysis of Power Transformers
Power transformer analysis and design focusing on the equivalent circuit parameter evaluation by magnetic field numerical calculation is presented. Two kinds of numerical techniques are examined: the threedimensional (3D) finite element method (FEM), adopting a particular reduced scalar potential formulation and the 3D mixed finite element-boundary element (FEM-BEM) method. The methods are vali...

Boundary and finite element modeling approach to the assessment of electrostatic field on human head generated by Video Display Units (VDU’s) are compared and discussed. Attention is focused to the field distribution over the surface of the face. The mathematical formulation for the assessment of the electrostatic field is based on the Laplace equation for the electric scalar potential. The ele...
